The dosage instructions will help you to dose the colors. Here you can see how many grams of pigment you need for 100 grams of material to be colored.
But there is also an easy way. Each color without * after the name in the shop has to be dosed with 2 grams. With one * you can dose with 4 grams and two * with 8 grams.
If you want it exactly, you can use the dosing aid.

Acid dyes are very easy to use. You get the shade with 1.5 to 2 grams per 100 grams of material to be colored.

First things first! Think about your personal protective equipment, that means you need:
- Rubber gloves
- dust mask
- eye protection
- a possibility to color your pets and food out of the reach of children
There are countless possibilities for dyeing yarn and fabrics.
We describe here how we color and, from our point of view, achieve the best results.
- Put the yarn in water to which you have added soda
(on 5 liters approx. 2 tablespoons of washing soda)
- Leave the yarn in the water-soda solution for an hour
- Lightly press out the yarn
Now there are different options.
We spread the yarn on an area lined with foil and put our prepared dye liquor directly onto the yarn.
It is also possible to dye in the pot, but the colors are not as intense as with the laying method.
-I mix the colors in a 500 ml jam jar. The color pigments dissolve best in hot water. Please note the dosing aid that says how much pigment and how many grams of yarn are required. However, I dose according to feeling and look forward to the result :)
-When you are satisfied with the result, cover the yarn and leave it for at least 3 hours.
- Then rinse the thread cold - warm - cold. Always until no more pigments are washed out
- then let it dry and marvel at your coloring result.
Animal Fibres

- Soak the yarn in water to which you have added acid (lemon or acetic acid (approx. 50 ml citric acid per 5 liters). Let the yarn soak briefly (no longer than an hour)
- Dose the pigments according to the dosing aid. Take a sufficiently large pot in which the amount of material to be dyed can float freely. Fill the pot with lukewarm water, add the pigments and a dash of acid again and heat the coloring solution to approx. 80 degrees.
- Put the yarn in the dye solution. Turn off the heat and let the yarn cool down
- As soon as the yarn and the dye solution have cooled down, take them out of the dye bath.
- Then rinse the thread cold - warm - cold. Always until no more pigments are washed out
- then let it dry and marvel at your dyeing result.
